Lets just get this out of the way, there is no such thing as cold, or coldness, or anything being cold. There is only more hot and less hot. When I say hot it means anything having more thermal energy and less thermal energy.
Now it may occur to you if there is no such thing as being cold, then what does the word cold mean and why is it used if there is no such thing as cold.
According to the Oxford dictionary cold means being at a relatively low temperature, especially when compared to a human body. That might satisfy an average person but not you, otherwise you would not have started reading this article.
According to the definition cold means being at a low temperature, roughly speaking. Then what does the temperature signify?
The meaning of temperature!
In ordinary language temperature means the degree or intensity of heat present in a substance or object. In terms of physics it is the measure of the average kinetic energy of the particles of the system.
This means how fast are the particles, atoms or molecules, moving or jiggling (as R.P. Feynman termed it). Then what does having a higher temperature mean? and having a lower one? ( Answer this yourself )
If you answered the previous one then ask this to yourself:
Why during winters if you walk on a marble surface it feels cool and on a wooden one warmer as compared to the marble one even if they have the same temperature as the surrounding.
At the first instinct it feels like it shouldn’t happen as they have the same temperature thereby implying they have the same amount of average kinetic energy of the particles. They should feel the same but in reality they don’t. Why does that happen?

Transfer of heat from out feet is faster in ice than wood thats we feel cold while walking on ice.

When your hand for example has more thermal energy than ice okay? So when we touch it this energy flows into ice as obviously heat transfers from high temp to low so when this happens due to ice’s tendency to absorb heat faster we feel that ice is cold and its not the same with wood.

Thats correct, but think why is it that wood catches fire more easily than marble? Shouldn’t there be a faster transfer of heat in marble as compared to wood?

Marble can tolerate much more heat than woodbefore ignition, i.e, marble has a higher ignition temp. than wood.
